Our Development Programme
During your time on the Graduate Leadership Programme you will experience both Global and European development sessions which will be spread across your two years on the programme. You’ll also network with senior leaders and experience one-on-one mentoring to help shape your development.
Graduate Leadership Programme
We know that you’re ambitious and inspired so to support you to maximise your growth and potential on the programme you’ll complete regular reviews in the forms of meetings, presentations and supporting documents.
The Global Graduate Launch will be your first global training session, which will take place in September in London. This session is a fantastic opportunity to meet the other graduates in your cohort, as well as members of the Executive team, Directors and Senior Management. As well as an introduction to Morgan Advanced Materials, you will get involved in a number of day time and evening activities, such as ice breakers and group exercises.
You will then complete the ‘Business Challenge’ training session at the end of your first year on the programme. This will give you a general business overview, covering areas such as finance and commercial awareness.
A new addition to your Global Development on the GLP is the ‘People Module’ which will take place during your second year on the programme.
The final global training session, ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR) training, will take place during your second year on the programme.
Although we know that you’re naturally a leader, we’ll provide you with the stepping stones to achieve your ambitions. The training you’ll experience has been designed in line with your development journey throughout the two years. In addition to enhancing your knowledge and understanding across all functional areas, you’ll gain three internationally recognised qualifications.
You’ll work toward your Institute of Leadership and Management Level 5 (ILM 5) qualification which is designed to upskill you in managerial and leadership qualities where many of the modules involve assignments that aim to validate your learning in these areas.
A four day training course will provide you with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, (IOSH) Managing Safety qualification and our in-house yellow belt Lean training can be utilised regardless of your role. You’ll also find Project Management and Presentation Skills training useful.
To aid your development further, we run quarterly GLP Review sessions that are held with the GPM, these focus on your programme experiences.
