She brings strategic and governance expertise gained across numerous listed businesses, having served as Chair, Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair in a number of FTSE 350 companies.

Career and experience: Alison was central to the strategic development of BAE Systems plc as Group Strategic Development Director (2004 to 2008). She was also Global Director of Strategy and Corporate Development at National Grid plc (2008 to 2013).

Additional appointments: Chair of Galliford Try Holdings plc, Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair of Oxford Instruments plc and Remuneration Committee Chair of TT Electronics plc.
