Martinsicuro, Italy celebrates 60 years of operations

At Morgan Advanced Materials we like to celebrate our milestones. With a long and rich history spanning over 165 years, it’s important for us to recognise the achievements of our business.

On Saturday 25 June our Martinsicuro Italy site, part of our Seals & Bearings business, will celebrate an incredible feat: 60 years of operations.

Originally founded in 1962 under the name EBN, the business was acquired by Morgan in 1972. Followed by a merge of 'Morganite Italiana' and 'EBN' in 2005 to become 'Morgan Carbon Italia'. Finally, in 2016, 'Morgan Carbon Italia' became a part of Morgan Advanced Materials Seals & Bearings strategic business unit, with approximately 140 employees to date.

To mark the occasion, the team will be celebrating their 60th anniversary with employees and their families. The event will feature musical entertainment, a buffet dinner, a comedic performance, and lots of entertainment for the children of the site’s employees.

Ahead of the celebration, Site Manager Gianni Aliprandi commented; “We are happy and honoured to be witnesses of such an important milestone of the site history. We are even more proud to celebrate it with those who are making the history of the site - our employees - and their families”.
