Morgan Advanced Materials

Morgan achieves AAA ESG rating

At Morgan Advanced Materials we are proud of our environmental, social and governance (ESG) credentials and the focus we place on improving all aspects of ESG as we strive to become a more sustainable business.

As a result of our efforts, we’ve been awarded the AAA rating for our sustainability achievements and initiatives, by MSCI.

Our CEO, Pete Raby, said: “We are committed to making our business more sustainable, and reducing our impact on the planet, and we have set ambitious improvement targets out through to 2030. I am pleased to receive a AAA rating from MSCI, recognising our work and the progress we are making”

An MSCI ESG Rating is designed to measure a company’s resilience to long-term, industry material ESG risks. MSCI use a rules-based methodology to identify industry leaders and laggards according to their exposure to ESG risks, and how well they manage those risks relative to peers. The ESG Ratings range from Leader (AAA) to Laggard (CCC).

“As a Board we regard our environmental, social and governance responsibilities as central to how we run our business. We have a robust strategy and clear goals to improve our environmental impact, to ensure we provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive working environment, and for our workforce to reflect the communities in which we operate. I am delighted to see this recognised in the AAA rating from MSCI” commented our Chairman, Douglas Caster.
