As 2024 draws to a close we want to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our teams across Morgan this year.
At Morgan our purpose is to use advanced materials to help make more efficient use of the world’s resources and to improve the quality of life, our people help us to live this purpose through their actions. We’re proud to share some of their 2024 accomplishments.

At Morgan, our people have access to our Percipio online learning tool and goFLUENT language courses.
We're delighted to see their commitment to using these tools. Throughout 2024 they dedicated over 8,500 hours to learning on Percipio and over 3,600 hours to developing their language skills on goFLUENT; an impressive 69% increase in time committed compared to 2023.
Our ‘Delight the Customer’ execution priority focuses on making our businesses more customer centric.
One of our 2024 customer highlights was when our China Thermal Ceramics team were awarded the prestigious title of 'Three-Star Supplier' by their customer ROBAM!
Excellent work by the team, collaborating with industry leaders to build a sustainable future.

🙌 Our Greenville team helped the Freetown Community Center clean up in time for their annual summer camp
🙌 Our MMTCL India donated much-needed supplies to health centres and schools in their local community
🙌 Our MMS China site spent their Earth Day protecting their mother lake, Tai Lake
We’re focused on innovating to grow, working to win in our core markets by providing products and solutions that make our customers more sustainable.
In 2024, that looked like:
📈 Signing a new memorandum of understanding with Penn State University, focused on research and development in the field of silicon carbide (SiC) crystal growth for the wide band gap semiconductors sector
📈 Successfully commissioning a new paper line in our Thermal Ceramics China business, to add capacity and better serve our customers
The safety of our people is our most important priority at Morgan. Our long-term goal is 'zero harm' to all our employees, with initiatives like thinkSAFE supporting us in reaching that aspiration.
Our team have made great progress towards this goal and can't wait to see further improvements in the year to come.
This year we marked World Environment Day and Earth Day across our global teams, collaborating to focus on how we can use the world's resources responsibly and make a big positive difference.
Here are some of our environmental highlights:
👉 A shut down of air compressors, exhaust systems and equipment during nights and weekends at our Atlacomulco, Mexico plant; saving 50% of the typical annual energy use
👉 A focus on reducing waste to landfil at our Johannesburg, South Africa site, resulting in over 50% waste recyled and 386kg reduction in Co2e emissions
👉 Installation of a new water cooling system in Fostoria, USA, estimated to save up to 7.5 million gallons of water annually
We understand the impact that mental health and wellbeing issues can have on day-to-day life, which is why we were pleased to focus on wellbeing for our Morgan 2024 Safety Week.
Our people spent time ‘taking 5’ for their wellbeing, participating in team activities and sharing a range of mental health resources on our sites to shine the spotlight on this important health issues across our global team.
This year our MMS Suzhou, China team were honored with the ‘2024 Best Employer - Best Job Stability’ award at the Greater Suzhou Best Employer Award Ceremony.
This accolade is a testament to the site's commitment to providing a stable and supportive work environment for employees.

We were delighted to be named Penn State 2024 ‘Corporate Partner of the Year’.
This prestigious award celebrates businesses committed to the university, have excellent track records of philanthropy and research, and actively engage Penn State students and alumni in the workplace and the classroom.
